DigiNøltar Expands Registry with .oomf and .bro

DigiNøltar is pleased to announce the addition of two new top-level domains to the DigiNøltar registry.

The expansion forms part of the registry's ongoing programme to delegate namespaces to organizations capable of operating them within their own administrative framework.

.oomf

Registry operator: Oomfie Networks

Registration procedure:

To register a .oomf domain, contact the registry operator by telephone at +1 207 200 6829.

DigiNøltar considers voice-based domain provisioning to be a mature and well-understood technology. Applicants are advised to speak clearly.

.bro

Registry operator: Lillys World – Domains Import & Export

Registration procedure:

To register a .bro domain, send a postcard containing your contact details to CCCHH.

While this process may introduce additional propagation time, it substantially reduces the likelihood of automated registrations. DigiNøltar suggests Øl Post as your primary post service.

Origin of .bro

During implementation, a reviewer submitted the following technical observation:

"Do you even delegate bro."

Following internal evaluation, DigiNøltar concluded that the most appropriate response was to delegate .bro.

Delivery Schedule

Implementation of both TLDs was originally expected during Q1 2027.

Following a brief consultation with the DigiNøltar Chief Infrastructure Officer, it was determined that sufficient engineering capacity was unexpectedly available. DigiNøltar had created more capacity due to automating the delivery of kaffee for Lecker Kaffee Trinken by AI.

The work was therefore completed on 15 May 2026, approximately ten months ahead of schedule.

This event is currently under internal review to determine how it occurred and to ensure future project planning remains appropriately conservative.
