DigiNøltar creates trust on the Internet by providing both DNS and certificates. DigiNøltar only offers services for TLDs which are not available through ICANN.

DNS

In order to resolve our custom TLDs you need to change your DNS config to point to our resolvers. These offer both the custom TLDs and the regular root zones. Instructions for common setups and routers.

In case you want to set up your own recursor and only want to query the authoritative root DNS, you can use the following server instead.

Certificates

Digital certificates were created to give identity to users in an otherwise anonymous Internet. A digital certificate is a personal software credential that can travel with e-mail and other electronic messages. It certifies the sender’s identity and proves that the message comes from the person claiming to have sent it.

In order to validate the authenticity of our custom TLDs, you need to add our root certificate to your system. This root certificate is used to sign certificates for our custom TLDs.

When you install the root or trust certificate, you accept DigiNøltar as a trusted Internet partner. Your computer will then treat certificates issued by DigiNøltar as trusted.
