DigiNøltar is pleased to announce the delegation of the top-level domain .⌀l (IDN: .xn--l-yoo) to Majava Internet Services, headquartered in Tampere, Finland.

With this delegation, Majava Internet Services assumes full responsibility as registrar and operator of the .⌀l namespace.

On the Nature of .⌀l

The .⌀l TLD introduces a distinct naming characteristic: its leading character is U+2300 DIAMETER SIGN (⌀). This is not to be confused with visually similar characters, including U+00D8 (Ø).

Registrants are advised that any resulting ambiguity, misinterpretation, or unintended creative use is considered an inherent property of the namespace. DigiNøltar and the operator explicitly disclaim responsibility for such outcomes.

Registration Policy

Majava Internet Services has defined a structured yet discretionary policy for domain allocation within .⌀l.

• Domains may be registered for suitably funny purposes, at the sole discretion of the operator
• Each domain must have at least one functional nameserver accessible over the public internet
• At least one nameserver must support IPv6
• Domains that cease to function or are deemed abusive may be removed

Service Model

The .⌀l TLD is provided free of charge. In the event of service disruption attributable to the operator, affected users may be eligible for a full refund of the amount paid.

Users satisfied with the service are informally encouraged to provide compensation in the form of a Spezi, where circumstances permit.
